Rebecca House provides a full range of compassionate care and support for babies, children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, and the families who love them. From respite and symptom management to end-of-life care, our services are designed to make life a little easier, offering comfort, relief and reassurance when it’s needed most.

Respite care

Respite care is invaluable to all children and young people from birth to 18 that are affected by a life limiting illness. By sharing the caring, and working flexibly with families, we give the parents and carers the opportunity to take a little time off.

Symptom management

Our Symptom Management service supports children with complex or changing symptoms, helping to relieve pain and discomfort. Our specialist team works closely with families and professionals to provide personalised care, improving comfort and quality of life.

Terminal care

Our team provide compassionate care to ensure a child’s final weeks, days and hours are as comfortable as possible. We support babies, children and young people at the end of life, at home, in hospital or at Rebecca House.

Rainbow room

Our Rainbow Room is available to any family on the Island who are bereaved by the loss of a child or young person. The room provides a private, intimate and special place of rest for the child and family until the day of the funeral.

Referrals

We support babies, children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, alongside the families who care for them. Our services are always provided free of charge, and referrals can come from professionals or directly from families.
