Important conversations can occur anywhere, with anybody, and this course will provide an opportunity to identify the key skills needed and to learn how to use them.
How to prepare for significant conversations and why this is important
The importance of acknowledging the feelings that these conversations can present
How to close these conversations kindly and with an agreed way forward
Recognise what is “bad news”
Utilise a range of skills to improve communication, empathy, questioning skills, listening skills
To apply the communication models in their workplace
Recognise your own reactions, protecting yourself & prioritizing self-care
Using models of communication as evidence base
This course also incorporates elements of Breaking Bad News and Difficult conversations.

This course is for anyone working in health and social care, clinical or non-clinical roles, who would like to strengthen their existing communication skills or require a refresher prior to attending our course at intermediate level.
