Why choose hospice respite care?
Caring for a loved one with a life-limiting illness is a profound act of love, but even the most dedicated caregivers need time to rest and recharge.
Our Hospice Respite Care offers a safe, supportive environment where individuals can receive expert care while their carers take a well-earned break. Whether it's a few days of relief or a short planned break, our Respite Care service provides peace of mind for everyone involved.
By choosing a private respite stay, you are helping us continue to provide free, compassionate palliative care for people across our community.
Specialist, compassionate, individualised care in our beautiful, comfortable setting; built around you.
24/7 practical and emotional support from experienced hospice nurses.
Time and space for caregivers to rest, attend to personal needs, or take a holiday, knowing their loved one is in very safe hands.
A person-centred approach, with each respite stay tailored to the individual's condition, needs, and preferences.
We pride ourselves on maintaining a high staff-to-patient ratio. This means the individual will receive dedicated, personalised attention tailored to specific needs.
A peaceful, welcoming space; enjoy beautiful gardens and thoughtfully designed rooms that calm and uplift.
Who can access hospice respite?
Our paid-for respite care service is available to people living with a life-limiting illness — an incurable condition that will shorten life but may still allow for a good quality of life over time.
We welcome referrals for individuals who:
Have a diagnosis of a life-limiting condition (e.g., advanced heart or lung disease, neurological conditions)
Live with severe, irreversible disabilities that increase their risk of complications (e.g., post-stroke or spinal injuries)
Are in a stable phase of their condition and can safely return home after respite
Have carers who would benefit from a planned break
How much will it cost?
Our Private Respite Care is priced at £1,950 per week. This cost reflects the high standard of care we provide, including 24/7 support from our experienced hospice team, access to beautifully designed surroundings, and a truly personalised care experience.
Every stay helps us continue offering free, specialist palliative and end of life care to those who need it most in our community. By choosing a private respite stay, you're not only supporting your loved one, you're supporting others too.
