A course for HCAs, Clinical Support Services and Registered Professionals to explore the care and management of individuals in the last few days of life.
What will I learn?
At the end of the course I will be able to:
Recognise when someone is in the last days of life
Manage common symptoms
Understand the importance of holistic care
Understand the interventions required to support individuals and their families
Understand the process of verification of an expected adult death
Understand the benefits of anticipatory medication
Duration:
HCAs / Clinical Support Services must attend the morning training (3.5 hours)
Registered professionals must attend all day (7 Hours)
