International Nurses Day 2024
Yesterday was International Nurses Day.
To all of our incredible nurses here at Hospice, we are so grateful for your dedication, compassion and expertise. Thank you for your commitment to Hospice, to our patients and their loved ones.
A lovely comment from a patient relative whose husband was with us recently; “Words cannot express how grateful myself and my family are to Hospice for the wonderful care my husband received whilst he was with you. It is not until you are in such a situation yourself that you fully realise how fortunate the Island is to have such a vital facility”. These comments are the result of the incredible care our nurses provide and for that, we are so proud.
To acknowledge the day, we gathered here for tea and cake, and said a heartfelt thank you.

Throughout the year, we will have themed afternoon teas in Elaine’s Café. Further information can be found here. We provide range of themed savoury and sweet treats, plus hot drinks. Both our Christmas and Valentine’s themed afternoon teas were thoroughly enjoyed by those who attended.
