March celebration afternoon

Share

It was absolutely fantastic to have everyone up at Hospice for our Monthly Celebration Afternoon! We can't thank the following enough for all their hard work and we loved meeting everyone who has contributed to Hospice and Rebecca House over the past month:

Isle of Man Post Office joined us as they volunteered at and co-ordinated the logistical side of collecting the Christmas Trees for us over the Christmas period - we couldn't do it without them!

Canada Life International's senior management team dressed up in Pantomime Outfits and donated the money raised from the day to Hospice! - Talk about a fun day at the office.

VanityHouse donated 50% of all their Valentine's Day takings to Rebecca House - Beautiful Job ladies!

Sarah Read represented Sure Isle of Man for donating a Nokia smartphone to be used for Whatsapp and Facebook messenger purposes as we arrange shifts with ad-hoc staff when cover is needed for annual leave, staff illness or for busy periods.

Manx Steam & Model Engineering Club - MS&MEC also joined us as they donated 10% of their year's profits - very generous of everyone!

Stephanie and Lois represent the Co-op Woodbourne Road which held a Valentine's Day Raffle. The Co-op wanted the money raised from the raffle to go to the winner's choice of charity. Nicola won and chose Rebecca House!

Mr & Mrs Ingles celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary and all money received in lieu of gifts went to helping patient care at Hospice - such a wonderful couple!

Ryan and Natalie from Manx Utilities raise money through a snack shop at work and donate the profit to local charities, including Hospice!

Hospice founder, Nadene Crowther and her grandson, Hamish Faragher came to the afternoon to celebrate Hamish's achievement as he organised the Livestock Festival where a number of Live local bands played from 4pm until 1am in efforts to raise money for Hospice! - Party on, Guys!

Maggie Kelly and her family have raised an amazing amount of money for us over several years and on this occasion, £2528.75 through raffles and travelling through town in a bath of beans during the Christmas light switch on! They would like to thank everyone for their support in donating money, time and raffle prizes in memory of Ben Collister.
