National Hygiene Week
Today marks the start of National Hygiene Week.
This year the importance of hand hygiene has never been more prominent. As we as a community continue to stand together to keep our Manx bubble safe, National Hygiene week offers us the opportunity to talk about the importance of hand-washing and how simply singing “Happy Birthday” twice really can make a difference to support a clean and safe community.
Our top hand-washing tips
Wet your hands with clean, running warm water and apply soap.
Rub your hands together to form soap suds
Scrub your hands for at least 20 seconds, making sure to scrub the palm, back, fingers, thumbs, wrists and nail beds
Rinse your hands well under clean, running water
Remember to spread the message to friends, family and co-workers to protect our community from the spread of germs

Upcoming events
Throughout the year, we will have themed afternoon teas in Elaine’s Café. Further information can be found here. We provide range of themed savoury and sweet treats, plus hot drinks. Both our Christmas and Valentine’s themed afternoon teas were thoroughly enjoyed by those who attended.
