One Year Anniversary of Day Unit
On June 25th, we were pleased and honoured to celebrate the one year anniversary of our Day Unit opening!
As part of our service development, our Day Unit reopened to patients in June 2023. It was closed temporarily following COVID, but is now back and has been redeveloped to suit patient’s ever-changing needs.
This was made possible by the Manx Lottery Trust who awarded us a grant to fund the Day Unit for its first year of operation. On the day, we held a small event where CEO John warmly welcomed patients, staff, relatives and guests to an enchanting afternoon tea, beautifully presented by our volunteers. the Mannic Ukers popped along and provided musical entertainment for everyone to enjoy.
Recently we also received the fantastic news that further funding has been secured for the Day Unit from the Trevor Hemmings Foundation! We look forward to the future of the Day Unit for both us and our patients.

Upcoming events
Throughout the year, we will have themed afternoon teas in Elaine’s Café. Further information can be found here. We provide range of themed savoury and sweet treats, plus hot drinks. Both our Christmas and Valentine’s themed afternoon teas were thoroughly enjoyed by those who attended.
